Tai Chi and Qigong
Learn Tai Chi and Qigong in a way that will help you today and tomorrow.

Chicago Tai Chi Qigong's program is dedicated to invigorating your life and
lifting your spirits. We believe that or students are healthiest and happiest
when they are moving and having fun. Tai Chi and Qigong are very much like
any other sport or activity, with one major difference. Instead of using up
energy, you are gaining and storing energy.

Our Tai Chi (Taiji) Practice is designed to teach standardized form movements
that activate the mind, energizes the blood, and fills the body with Qi (Chi). In
the Chinese and Asian traditions, Qi is the basic energy of life. We are making
it all the time and we are using it all the time. When you are practicing Tai Chi
you are creating and storing this energy in your Dantien - which according to
Chinese tradition is located in your lower abdomen. The Dantien is your
storage battery. You can use this energy immediately for for your daily
activities, or you can keep it for use later on in your life. It is there for you
today, tomorrow, next year, or ten years from now. Once you store Qi in your
Dantien, it is in your bank account and can be used whenever you want to -
whenever you need extra energy!

Our Qigong (Chi Kung) practice calms the mind and spirit, renews energy,
relaxes muscles and joints, and creates a healthy mental outlook that inspires
daily well-being.

We welcome all students of all ages to find their own strong and happy spirit
in their daily Tai Chi/Qigong Practice.
